The Maritime Training Center focuses on training individuals on Maritime-specific and Industrial-specific courses that will increase their knowledge of the industry, teach different industry-specific trade skills, and help individuals become more of a valuable applicant and employee for their employers. Below are the categories that we cover for training. Click on each category to see a list of the specific courses we provide.
Some classes that we provide to our students are NCCER certified. A training schedule for upcoming classes can be found on the APPLY NOW page. These classes are at no cost to the student. Applying for or attending any AIDT Training will not reduce or stop any government benefit, including unemployment, SNAP, or Tanf.
When applications are submitted, the computer automatically scores them and they are ranked from highest to lowest score. The applications with the highest scores undergo a review process. Approximately 100 applicants are invited to attend orientation. Then 32 trainees will be selected and invited to attend class. Those not selected after attending orientation will be notified by mail. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and older with proof of high school diploma or GED.
Note: Individuals who are not selected must re-apply if they are still interested in the program.
