December 17 Trade Symposium at The Maritime Training Center

The prevalence of imported goods on Alabama store shelves many times gives the impression that goods aren't made in Alabama anymore. But Alabama factories make lots of things. In particular, high-value products that you aren't likely to find at your local market — like ships, planes and automobiles. Those exports create and sustain jobs right here in Alabama. Greg Canfield, Alabama's secretary of commerce, will discuss exports and job growth Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, during a trade symposium at The Maritime Center in Mobile, Ala.
